ANNUAL FIRE ALARM SYSTEM TEST
WEEK OF NOVEMBER 24th THRU 28th
SINGLE BEDROOM UNITS FIRE ALARM SYSTEMS WILL BE TESTED
THIS WILL REQUIRE THE ALARMS IN EACH BUILDING TO BE ACTIVATED.
THE COMPANY PERFORMING THE TEST WILL CONTACT EACH UNIT TO LET THE
RESIDENTS KNOW THAT THE ALARMS WILL SOUND PRIOR TO ACTIVATION
THIS TEST IS MANDATED BY THE NEW MILFORD FIRE MARSHAL
THANK YOU FOR YOUR CO-OPERATION ASPETUCK CONDO ASSOCIATION
I received a “notice of violation” from the fire marshal. Apparently all the units need to have “self-closing and self-latching” doors. Will the condo association be installing these or is it the unit owners responsibility? If unit owners, is there an approved vendor who will do all the units for a good price?
I also received this along with a $25 fee for inspection. Isnt this covered by common charges if its a mandatory by fire marshall/code?
I also received a bill for the “annual inspection”. This is the first time I have received this bill so maybe it is the condo association’s responsibility. I also received notice of violation saying that I need to install a self-closing door hinge on my apartment door. I believe all doors that open into an exit corridor need to have a self-closing hinge installed. Again, I believe this is a condo association responsibility. I aked them the question but have still not heard back.
